The Springwood Avenue Rising Committee is excited to announce this year’s commemorative events that will present the history of the Asbury Park-Neptune Springwood Avenue corridor with its music and commercial zone, pay special honor to the past Springwood Avenue entrepreneurs, celebrate the revitalization efforts of the Springwood Avenue corridor, and champion a positive future.
The Springwood Avenue Commemorative Parade Subcommittee is requesting your assistance in making this year’s parade memorable as we pay homage to the Elks parades that once were an annual Springwood Avenue event back in the late 1950s, early 60s. The parade will take place on Saturday, June 27, 2020, commencing at 10:00 AM. The assembly area will take place on Springwood Avenue between Highway 35 & Drummond Avenue in Neptune. All participants are expected to arrive and check-in at the assembly area no later than 8:00 am.
All floats must illustrate the theme: “Honor the past, Celebrate the present, and Prepare for the future.” The commemorative parade will begin at Drummond Avenue, Neptune, traveling east onto Springwood Avenue and disband in Springwood Park in Asbury Park. Any late arrivals will not be able to participate in the parade. If your organization is interested in participating, please fill out the link below to complete the Participant Parade Application
